Maybe New Friends is an online sitcom following the lives of seven ambitious young men and women as they make their way in the world. Told over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Viddy, the show consists of seven character bots, each with their own distinct voice. Each bot aggregates hundreds of accounts that fit a character profile, creating realistic and up-to-date voices representing different demographics and subgroups. Each character will interact with each other and you, at the same time achieving their real world goals. Everyone has goals. Watch theirs unfold. You’ll have the chance to make friends with the cast and find out what they think of each other, their thoughts on love, sex, and life, and discover their unique tastes, thoughts, and opinions.You are never alone with Maybe New Friends. :)Maybe New Friends is a Bot TV and American Medium production, created and developed by Ed Fornieles & Lucy Chinen.Ed Fornieles (for-nee-el-es ) is an English artist working in Los Angeles using a variety of different media including the internet, sculpture, performance, film and social media. Fornieles merges sophisticated social manipulation with a formal approach to the Internet and pop culture. His works Animal House, Dorm Daze and The Dreamy Awards have drawn comparisons to Todd Phillips, early John Waters, and 360 advertising. Lucy Chinen is a Los Angeles based media specialist expertiventing in social TV, smartphone penetration and emerging public policies.
